We breath around 22’000 times a day and most of the time we are breathing unconsciously. But the breath is the most direct way to influence our physiology and our emotional states.

I am trained as breath coach by Ralph Skuban (Buteyko method). Buteyko asserts that numerous medical conditions, including asthma, are caused or exacerbated by chronically increased respiratory rate or hyperventilation. The method aims to correct overbreathing and encourage shallower, slower breathing.  By slowing down the breath rate the respiratory control centres can be reset to accept higher levels of carbon dioxide.
