When I was 19 I landedin a yoga class at Migros Klubschule. That was the beginning of my ongoing exploration with yoga and other spiritual practices.
A year later I travelled to India, where I met my first Yoga teacher Narmada Puri in Haridwar. Regularly I visited her Ashram and getting to know the cultural roots of the yogic traditions.
While studying anthropology and science of religion at university I dived deeper into the history and philosophy of Yoga, Hinduism and Buddhism. After 20 years of practicing I did my first TTC at Santosh Puri Ashram in India (Hatha Yoga) and later at the parApara Yoga Akademie in Potsdam (Anusara Yoga).
Since then I try to teach what I practice, which includes karanas to warm up, a mindfullly practiced asana sequence to deepen and pranayama and meditation to conclude before a very long shavasana…
My practice is inspired by many teachers and styles from east to west, including Lalla and Vilas Turske (Anusara), Usha Devi (Iyengar), Narmada Puri (Hatha), Reinhard Gammenthaler (Kundalini) and many others…
Today being a father is my biggest sadhana and I love to move with the breath in dance workshops, while hiking in the mountains, on my skies or in flowing rivers… I love cooking, laughing, gardening and filmmaking.
